If you're looking for a way to make a difference in your community, do something good for others, or to feel good about yourself, volunteering is a great way to do all three!

By volunteering your time and talents to Suited to Succeed (STS), you know you're making a difference in the lives of the thousands of women in the Baltimore area who need help with their transitions from unemployment to self-sufficiency. Your efforts boost our efforts and that means more women will see their self-esteem and confidence rise when they step into job interviews wearing professional clothing they could not have afforded on their own. At the end of the day, there's nothing like the feeling you'll have after volunteering even just a little of your time to help others.

Ways you can volunteer for STS include:

• At the STS office - sorting clothing or helping clients select outfits when they come in (see Directions/Hours for location)
• At STS's Annual Fundraiser -
  planning and set-up, greeting
  guests, organizing silent auction
  items, etc.
• On STS committees - Marketing,
  Newsletter, Fundraising, Public
  Relations, Operations
• Contacting potential referral
  partners to tell them about
  STS's services
• Contacting local businesses
  and organizations to arrange for
  STS clothing drives and fundraisers
• Organize your own clothing drive in
  your neighborhood, at your religious
  organizations, or at work
• Teach classes that support job training
  such as time management and self-esteem building
• Pick up clothing donations
